- 4 slices bacon, finely diced
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] chopped onion
- 1/2 sweet green pepper, chopped
- 3 cups [750 mL] water
- Approximately 3 tablespoons [45 mL] liquid chicken broth concentrate
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] brown sugar
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] catsup
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
- 3 cups [750 mL] minute rice

- Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
- Into a frypan, brown together bacon dices, chopped onion and chopped sweet green pepper.
- Into a casserole, bring water to a boil.
- Mix in chicken broth concentrate, brown sugar, catsup and salt, until dissolved.
- Mix together bacon mixture, chicken broth concentrate mixture and minute rice.
- Transfer into an oven-safe dish.
- Bake into preheated oven, for 20 to 30 minutes.
