- 3 raw beets of medium size
- 3 apples of medium size
- 1/3 cup [80 mL] raisins
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] Horseradish sauce
- 3 tablespoons [45 mL] peanut oil
- 1 1/2 tablespoons [22.5 mL] wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] gray pepper

- Peel beets, wash and grate into a salad bowl.
- Core apples and grate into salad bowl.
- Stir in raisins.
- Prepare seasoning by mixing together in a bowl remaining ingredients.
- Pour over salad, stir gently and serve.
