Chunky Sesame Salad

  • 1 [3-ounce / 85 g] package Oriental flavoured dry noodle soup mix
  • 3/4 cup [190 mL] salad dressing
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] sugar
  • 3 cups [750 mL] shredded Savoy cabbage
  • 1 cup [250 mL] shredded red cabbage
  • 1 cup [250 mL] shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] sliced green onions
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] toasted sesame seeds
  • In a large bowl, mix together soup mix [reserving noodles], salad dressing, vinegar and sugar.
  • Add Savoy and red cabbages, carrots and green onions.
  • Mix lightly, cover and chill for 2 hours.
  • Just before serving, add reserved, crumbled dry noodles.
  • Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
