- 1/4 cup [60 mL] salad oil
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] vinegar
- 2 tablespoons [30 g] sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
- Dash pepper
- 3 cups [750 mL] shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup [60 mL] pitted ripe olive slices

- Combine salad oil, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper into a glass bowl.
- Toss lightly with shredded carrots and ripe olive slices.
- Chill until really cold, before serving.
