Creamy Coleslaw with Green Onions

  • 1 cup [250 mL] mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 2 tablespoons [30 g] sugar
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons [10 mL] celery seeds
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] salt
  • 6 cups [1.5 L] shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] green onion slices
  • Blend together mayonnaise or salad dressing, sugar, vinegar, celery seeds and salt, stirring to completely dissolve the sugar.
  • Refrigerate until really cold.
  • Combine shredded cabbage and green onion slices into a nice glass serving bowl.
  • Lightly toss in mayonnaise mixture, and serve.
