- 1 cup [250 mL] mayonnaise or salad dressing
- 2 tablespoons [30 g] sugar
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] vinegar
- 2 teaspoons [10 mL] celery seeds
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] salt
- 6 cups [1.5 L] shredded cabbage
- 1/4 cup [60 mL] green onion slices

- Blend together mayonnaise or salad dressing, sugar, vinegar, celery seeds and salt, stirring to completely dissolve the sugar.
- Refrigerate until really cold.
- Combine shredded cabbage and green onion slices into a nice glass serving bowl.
- Lightly toss in mayonnaise mixture, and serve.
