- 1/2 pound [227 g] finely chopped cooked ham
- 1/4 pound [113 g] freshly grated Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 pound [113 g] mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] Dijon mustard
- 1 small dill pickle, minced
- Pepper
- 2 slices rye bread +
tomato slices or 1 pita bread + lettuce strips

- Mix together ham, cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard and pickle.
- Pepper to taste.
- Spread mixture over one slice of bread, garnish with tomato slices and then top with remaining slice of bread, or
spread mixture into pita bread and garnish with lettuce trips.
