Cheese and Ham Sandwich
Servings: 4 sandwiches
  • 1/2 pound [227 g] finely chopped cooked ham
  • 1/4 pound [113 g] freshly grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 pound [113 g] mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] Dijon mustard
  • 1 small dill pickle, minced
  • Pepper
  • 2 slices rye bread +
    tomato slices
    or
    1 pita bread +
    lettuce strips
  • Mix together ham, cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard and pickle.
  • Pepper to taste.
  • Spread mixture over one slice of bread, garnish with tomato slices and then top with remaining slice of bread, or
    spread mixture into pita bread and garnish with lettuce trips.
