- 1 [6 1/2-ounce / 184 mL] can flaked tuna fish, drained
- 1 cup [250 mL] freshly grated Emmenthal or Gruyere Cheese
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] grated carrot
- 1/3 cup [80 mL] finely chopped celery stalk
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] chopped green onion
- 1/4 cup [60 mL] mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 12 slices of bread

- Mix together tuna fish flakes, grated cheese, grated carrot, chopped celery, chopped green onion and mayonnaise.
- Salt and pepper.
- Evenly spread mixture over 6 slices of bread.
- Top with remaining slices of bread.
