- 6 hard-boiled eggs, shelled and chopped
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] mayonnaise or salad dressing
- 1/3 cup [80 mL] finely chopped celery
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] finely chopped green onions
- 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] grated Cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper
- 4 pita breads, halved
- Alfalfa

- Into a medium bowl, mix together chopped hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise or salad dressing, celery and green onions.
- Mix in grated Cheddar cheese; salt and pepper, to taste.
- Partly open each pita bread half.
- Garnish with alfalfa and fill with egg mixture.
