- 1 whole-grain baguette, sliced lengthwise
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] pizza sauce
- 4 cheese slices
- 1/3 cup [80 mL] freshly chopped asparagus, blanched
- 1/3 cup [80 mL] chopped broccoli, blanched
- 3 tablespoons [45 mL] chopped red onion
- Cherry tomato wedges
- Grated light Parmesan cheese

- Diagonally cut each 1/2 baguette crosswise.
- Spread each half with pizza sauce.
- Top each with 1 slice of cheese, halved.
- Into a bowl, combine chopped blanched asparagus and broccoli and chopped red onion.
- Top cheese slices with mixture.
- Top with cherry tomato wedges; sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Broil to melt cheeses.
