- 1/4 cup [60 mL] grated onion
- 1/2 cup [115 g] melted butter
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] prepared mustard
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] poppy seeds
- Hamburger buns
- Boiled ham slices
- Swiss cheese slices

- One day before serving, mix together grated onion, melted butter, mustard and poppy seed.
- Let stand at room temperature for flavors blend.
- Evenly spread mixture over top and bottom of hamburger buns.
- Following given order, fill each hamburger bun with 1 slice of ham, 1 slice of Swiss cheese and 1 more slice of ham.
- Individually wrap each bun into al foil; refrigerate.
- To serve, let buns stand at room temperature for a few hours.
- Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
- Heat wrapped buns into preheated oven, for 15 to 20 minutes.
