Egg Roll Sauce [1]

Comments: Will keep for over a year, refrigerated into sterilized jars.
  • 1 large can pumpkin pie filling
  • 1 small bottle vinegar
  • 1 cup [200 g] sugar
  • 1 cup [250 mL] brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] salt
  • 2 teaspoons [10 mL] relish
  • 1 cup [250 mL] water [more if needed]
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] cinnamon
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] Cayenne pepper
  • Bring together all ingredients to a boil.
  • Simmer for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • If too thick, stir in a little more water.
