Barbecue Sauce for Hot Dogs or Hamburgers

  • 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] ketchup
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] prepared mustard
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons [10 mL] pepper
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] vinegar
  • 1/3 cup [80 mL] lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] steak sauce
  • Few drops Tabasco sauce
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons [10 mL] salad oil
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] beer
  • 1 clove garlic, minced [optional]
  • Well mix together all ingredients except garlic.
  • Keep into a glass jar.
  • If desired, 1 hour before using, mix in minced garlic.
