Barbecue Sauce with Onions and Garlic

  • 4 tablespoons [60 g] butter
  • 1 cup [250 mL] minced onions
  • Minced garlic, to taste
  • 1 cup [250 mL] ketchup
  • 1 cup [250 mL] water
  • 4 tablespoons [60 mL] vinegar
  • 1/2 cup [100 g] sugar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Melt butter; brown together minced onions and garlic.
  • Mix in ketchup, water, vinegar and sugar.
  • Salt and pepper, to taste.
  • Simmer for 10 minutes.
