Creamy Mushroom Sauce

IngredientsPreparation
  • 1 tablespoon [15 mL] butter
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 cup [250 mL] freshly sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup [250 mL] cream [15 or 35% m.s.g.]
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] white wine
  • Salt and pepper
  • Liquid beef concentrate [optional]
  • Melt butter over low heat [do not brown].
  • Melt green onion slices into melted butter for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Mix in mushroom slices, cream and white wine; simmer over low heat until creamy.
  • Sprinkle with a little salt and pepper and, if desired, to give it a little color and a little more taste, mix in just a little liquid beef concentrate.
