- 4 tablespoons [60 g] butter
- 1 cup [250 mL] minced onion
- Minced garlic, to taste
- 1 cup [250 mL] catsup
- 1 cup [250 mL] water
- 4 tablespoons [60 mL] vinegar
- 1/2 cup [100 g] sugar
- Salt and pepper, to taste

- Melt butter; brown together minced onion and garlic.
- Mix in catsup, water, vinegar and sugar.
- Salt and pepper, to taste.
- Simmer for 10 minutes.
