Chocolate Bites, 'Oh Henry' Style

IngredientsPreparation
  • 2 cups [500 mL] corn flakes
  • 2 cups [500 mL] rice krispies
  • 1 cup [250 mL] peanuts
  • 1 cup [250 mL] peanut butter
  • 1 cup [250 mL] brown sugar
  • 1 cup [250 mL] corn syrup
Coating
  • Paraffin [1/2 block]
  • 2 [5 1/2-ounce / 156-g each] bags milk chocolate chips
  • Into a large bowl, delicately mix together corn flakes, rice krispies and peanuts; set aside.
  • Into a saucepan, cook together peanut butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup for 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring; do not boil.
  • Delicately stir peanut butter mixture into cereals mixture.
  • Shape into small balls.
  • Arrange onto waxed paper; refrigerate.
  • Melt together paraffin and chocolate chips.
  • Using a toothpick, dip each cereals ball into hot chocolate coating.
  • Leave to cool completely, onto a wire rack or waxed paper, until hardened.
