- 1 cup [250 mL] creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup [250 mL] brown sugar
- 1 cup [250 mL] corn syrup
- 4 cups [1 L] oven-toasted rice grain cereals
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] unsalted peanuts [optional]
- 1/2 bar paraffin
- 12 ounces [340 g] chocolate chips

- Over low heat, melt together peanut butter, brown sugar and corn syrup, stirring constantly [do not boil].
- Remove from heat; stir in cereals and, if desired, unsalted peanuts.
- Spread into a buttered pan; cool for 30 minutes.
- In the upper part of a double-boiler, melt together paraffin and chocolate chips.
- Cut cereals mixture into squares; dip squares into melted chocolate mixture.
