- 1 cup [250 mL] heavy cream [35% m.s.g.]
- 1 cup [250 mL] sugar
- 1 cup [250 mL] brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] butter
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla
- 1 cup [250 mL] chocolate chips
- Nuts, to taste

- In a saucepan, mix together heavy cream, sugar and brwon sugar; bring to a boil.
- Cook for approximately 10 minutes, stirring at halftime
- Mixture should reach 240°F [116°C] on a candy thermometer.
- Pour into a bowl, add butter and vanilla; beat with an electric mixer for approximately 5 minutes, until thick and creamy.
- Add chocolate chips and nuts; stir with a spatula until smooth.
- Pour into a buttered dish.
- Refrigerate.
- To serve, cut into squares.
