- 1/2 cup [125 mL] margarine or butter
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] evaporated milk
- 2 cups [500 mL] sugar
- 3 cups [750 mL] rolled oats
- 1 cup [250 mL] grated coconut
- 8 tablespoons [120 mL] cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla

- Into a casserole, mix together margarine or butter, evaporated milk and sugar.
- Bring to a boil; boil for 3 minutes.
- Remove from heat; mix in rolled oats, coconut, cocoa powder and vanilla, until well mixed.
- Spoon mounds onto a buttered baking sheet.
- Refrigerate for approximately 2 hours before serving.
