- 2 eggs
- 1 cup [250 mL] sugar
- 3/4 cup [190 mL] butter
- 1 cup [250 mL] chopped dates
- 3 cups [750 mL] toasted rice grain cereals
- Grated coconut

- Beat eggs; slowly beat sugar into beaten eggs.
- Into a frypan, melt butter.
- Over medium heat, stir in beaten eggs mixture and dates.
- Stir until thick and lightly browned.
- Remove from heat.
- Cool to room temperature.
- Mix in toasted rice grain cereals; shape mixture into 1 to 1 1/2-inch [2.5 to 3.75-cm] balls.
- Roll each ball into grated coconut.
