Coconut Macaroons

  • 3 egg whites
  • 3/4 cup [190 mL] sugar
  • 1/2 pound [227 g] flaked coconut
  • Butter
  • Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
  • Beat egg whites until firm, beating in sugar.
  • Fold in coconut flakes.
  • Drop spoonfuls of mixture onto a buttered cookie sheet.
  • Bake into preheated oven, until just lightly browned.
  • Watch carefully, they burn fast!
