- 2 tablespoons [30 g] butter
- 2/3 cup [160 mL] evaporated milk
- 1 2/3 cups [330 g] sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
- 2 cups [500 mL] miniature marshmallows
- 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] chopped nuts
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla

- Into a medium casserole, mix together butter, evaporated milk and sugar; bring to boil stirring.
- Still stirring, leave mixture to boil for 5 minutes.
- Remove casserole from heat.
- Mix in miniature marshmallows, semi-sweet chocolate chips, chopped nuts and vanilla.
- Beat vigourously for approximately 1 minute, to completely melt marshmallows and well mix together all ingredients.
- Pour mixture a buttered square 8-inch [20-cm] pan.
- Leave to cool completely, before cutting into squares.
