- 4 large, firm tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] salt
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] pepper
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] chopped parsley
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] butter
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] chopped onion

- Preheat broiler.
- Half tomates, horizontally.
- Into a small bowl, mix together salt, pepper, parsley, butter and onion.
- Sprinkle cut side of halved tomatoes with mixture.
- Arrange tomato halves onto a baking sheet.
- Broil, 6 inches [15 cm] from heat source, for 10 minutes.
