Broiled Tomatoes

IngredientsPreparation
  • 4 large, firm tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] pepper
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] chopped parsley
  • 2 tablespoons [30 mL] butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] chopped onion
  • Preheat broiler.
  • Half tomates, horizontally.
  • Into a small bowl, mix together salt, pepper, parsley, butter and onion.
  • Sprinkle cut side of halved tomatoes with mixture.
  • Arrange tomato halves onto a baking sheet.
  • Broil, 6 inches [15 cm] from heat source, for 10 minutes.
