- 3/4 cup [175 g] shortening
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] brown sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] baking soda
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] cold water
- 1 cup [140 g] flour
- 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] finely chopped, into a blender or a food processor, carrots

- Corn flakes cereals crumbs

- Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
- Into a bowl, ix together shortening and brown sugar.
- Well mix in beaten eggs, lemon juice, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cold water, flour and finely chopped carrots.
- Grease a wreath mold; evenly sprinkle mold with corn flakes cereals crumbs.
- Evenly pour in chopped carrots mixture.
- Bake into preheated oven, for approximaty 1 hour 50 minutes.
- Leave to cool slightly, unmold and serve, sliced into thick slices.
