Easy Three-Bean Casserole

  • 1 pound [454 g] bacon, into small pieces
  • 2 [14-ounce / 398-mL each] cans pork and beans
  • 2 [14-ounce / 398-mL each] cans butter beans
  • 2 [14-ounce / 398-mL each] cans red kidney beans
  • 1 pound [454 g] lean ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] dry mustard
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] catsup
  • 1/2 cup [125 mL] brown sugar
  • Just melt bacon pieces into a frypan.
  • Add to pork and beans, butter beans and red kidney beans, into a large casserole.
  • Brown together lean ground beef and onion dices into frypan; add to mixed beans.
  • Delicately mix in dry mustard, catsup and brown sugar.
  • Simmer for 10 minutes, and serve.
