French Onion Rings

  • 10 pounds [4.5 kg] large onions
  • Milk
  • Flour
  • Salt
  • Oil for frying
  • Peel and slice onions 1/4-inch [6-mm] thick.
  • Separate rings being careful not to break them.
  • Dip rings into milk and then coat with a mixture of flour and just a little salt.
  • Deep-fry into hot oil until just golden.
