IngredientsPreparation
  • 2 1/2 cups [625 ml] butter
  • 2 1/2 cups [625 ml] sugar
  • 10 eggs
  • 4 cups [1 L] flour
  • 1 pound [454 g] golden raisins or walnuts
  • Cream together butter and sugar; add eggs.
  • Mix in flour, until firm enough to shape into a 1 1/2-inch to 2-inch [4 to 5 cm] roll.
  • Refrigerate until cold.
  • Slice into cookies.
  • Arrange cookies on a piece of parchment and bake in a 350°F [180°C] oven, checking.
