- 1 pack [24 ounces / 680 g] lemon flavored gelatine
- 4 cups [1 L] boiling water
- 2 cans [48 ounces / 1.4 L each] V-8 vegetable juice
- 1 cup [250 ml] lemon juice
- 8 drops Tabasco sauce
- 4 cups / 1 1/4 pounds [1 L / 680 g] chopped celery
- 1 cup / 5 ounces [250 ml / 142 g] minced onion
- Lettuce leaves
- Mayonnaise

- Add gelatine to boiling water; stir until completely dissolved.
- Add vegetable juice, lemon juice and Tabasco sauce; stir.
- Refrigerate until slightly thickened [egg white consistency].
- Mix in celery and onion; pour into molds and refrigerate until firm, 4 to 6 hours.
- Serve over lettuce leaves, with mayonnaise.
