Cheesy Easter Breakfast Casserole
  • 6 to 8 bread slices
  • 2 cups [500 mL] ham or breakfast sausage link dices
  • 1 cup [225 g] grated Cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups [750 mL] milk
  • Melted butter
  • REmove crusts from bread slices.
  • Dip 1 side of slice of bread into melted butter.
  • Arrange half of bread slices, buttered side down, into a 9 x 13-inch [23 x 33-cm] baking dish.
  • Evenly sprinkle bread slices with ham or breakfast link dices and grated Cheddar cheese.
  • Top with remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
  • Well beat together eggs and milk; pour all over bread slices.
  • Refrigerate overnight.
  • On the next day, preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
  • Transfer eggs mixture into preheated oven for approximately 1 hour, until set.
