Crunchy Marshmallow Easter Nests
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tabespoons [30 g] butter or margarine
  • 2 cups [500 mL] creamy marshmallow [sold in jars]
  • 3 cups [750 mL] dry Chinese 'Chow Mein' noodles
  • 1 cup [250 mL] tiny multicolored candie coated chocolates crushed using a rolling pin, or chopped chocolate chips
  • Icing sugar
  • Chocolate coated peanuts
  • Cream together creamy peanut butter and butter or margarine.
  • Well mix in creamy marshmallow.
  • Then, well yet delicately mix in dry 'Chow Mein' noodles, then crushed multicolored candie coated chocolates.
  • Spoon 1/3 cup [80 mL] mixture onto waxed paper; using your fingers, already greased, shape mound into a nest.
  • Repeat with remaining mixture.
  • Leave 'nests' to rest overnight, or refrigerate nests until hardened.
  • Sprinkle 'nests' with a little sifted icing sugar before filling nests with 'eggs' [chocolate coated peanuts].
