Chocolate Mice

Servings: 15 mice
  • 8 3/4 ounces [250 g] semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup [60 mL] sour cream
  • 2 cups [500 mL] fine chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 15 approximately 2-inch [5-cm] long pieces black licorice lace
  • 30 almond slices
  • 30 tiny round silver cake decorations
  • Melt chocolate chips; leave melted chocolate to cool completely, before mixing in sour cream.
  • Then mix in 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] of fine chocolate cookie crumbs.
  • Refrigerate mixture for 15 minutes.
  • Shape cooled mixture into 15 tiny 'mice'.
  • Add a tail to each 'mouse' [piece black licorice lace].
  • Then coat 'mice' with remaining fine chocolate cookie crumbs.
  • Add 'ears' [almond slices], then 'eyes' [tiny round silver cake decorations] to each mouse.
