Pasta with Parma Ham
[Tagliatelle con prosciutto]
Comments: Serve with garlic bread.
Servings: 4 to 6
  • 3/4 cup [175 g] butter
  • 12 ounces [340 g] Parma ham, cut into 2-inch [5-cm] strips
  • 1 pound [454 g] thin noodles [tagliatelles], boiled and drained, still warm
  • 1 1/2 cups [340 g] grated Parmesan cheese
  • Into a medium frypan, melt butter over medium heat until no longer foamy.
  • Add Parma ham strips and stir for approximately 5 minutes, until very hot.
  • Take away from heat.
  • Into a large bowl, add drained warm pasta noodles and ham strips with melted butter.
  • Using two large spoons, mix pasta noodles until very well coated with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle all over with grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Serve immediately.
