- 1 egg white, slightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] cold water
- 1/2 cup [100 g] sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] ground clove
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
- 4 cups [1 L] pecan halves

- Preheat oven to 250°F [120°C].
- Well mix together all ingredients except pecan halves.
- Leave to rest for 15 minutes.
- Mix in pecan halves.
- Evenly spread mixture over 2 buttered cookie sheets.
- Bake into preheated oven for 1 hour.
- Immediately transfer pecan halves apart onto plates.
- Leave to cool completely before serving or storing.
