Plantation Casserole

IngredientsPreparation
  • 2 cups [500 mL] croutons
  • 1 cup [225 g] grated sharp cheese
  • 4 eggs, slithly beaten
  • 2 cups [500 mL] milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] prepared mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] onion powder
  • Pinch of pepper
  • 8 slices fried crisp bacon slices, minced
  • Preheat oven to 325°F [160°C].
  • Mix together croutons and grated cheese over the bottom of a 10 x 6-inch [25 x 15-cm] greased baking pan.
  • Well mix together beaten eggs, milk, salt, mustard, onion powder and pepper.
  • Pour all over croutons.
  • Sprinkle with fried minced bacon.
  • Bake into preheated oven for 55 to 60 minutes, until eggs are set.
