- 1 French bread
- 8 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups [500 mL] milk
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla
- 1 1/2 teaspoons [7.5 mL] cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon [0.5 mL] salt

- Slice bread into 16 slices [do not keep ends].
- Into a bowl, beat together beaten eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon and salt until fluffy.
- Arrange bread slices in 2 [13 x 9 x 2-inch / 33 x 23 x 5-cm] glass baking pans.
- Evenly pour eggs mixture all over bread slices.
- Turn over to coat bread slices with mixture on both sides.
- Cover pans with al foil or plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
- On the next morning, preheat oven to 450°F [230°C] and arrange bread slices onto a cookie sheet.
- Bake into preheated oven for approximately 5 minutes, until browned on both sides, turning slices once while baking.
