- 1 [8-inch / 20-cm] unbaked pie shell
- 3 tablespoons [45 g] butter
- 3 medium sweet Vidalia onions, sliced
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] half and half
- 1 cup [225 g] grated Cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] sour cream
- 4 slices bacon, fried, drained and crumbled

- Peheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
- Using a fork, prick pie shell all over.
- Melt butter into a large frypan.
- Lightly brown onion slices into melted butter; evenly pour into pie shell.
- Mix together eggs, half and half, grated Cheddar cheese and sour cream; pour all over onion slices.
- Bake into preheated] oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
- Serve, garnished with bacon crumbs.
