- 12 slices bacon
- 3 large tomatoes, seeded and sliced [o enough to fill pie shell]
- 1 [9-inch / 23-cm] baked into a deep pie plate pastry shell
- 8 green onions, minced
- 1 1/2 cups [340 g] grated extra sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] mayonnaise

- Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
- Fry bacon slices; drain and crumble.
- Arrange tomato slices into pastry shell; sprinkle all over with minced green onions and bacon crumbs.
- Mix together grated extra sharp Cheddar cheese and mayonnaise.
- Evenly spread mixture all over tomato slices.
- Bake into preheated oven for 30 minutes.
