- 1 [28-ounce / 796-mL] can whole peeled ptmatoes
- 1 [8-ounce / 227-mL] can tomato sauce
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/3 cup [80 mL] chopped green pepper
- 1/3 cup [80 mL] green chiles
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] chopped cilantro
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] pepper

- Drain tomatoes; reserve liquid.
- Cut tomatoes into small pieces.
- Place in bowl.
- Add reserved liquid and all remaining ingredients.
- Keep in refrigerator.
