- 2 eggs
- 8 ounces [227 g] sour cream
- 1 cup [250 mL] sour cream
- 6 tablespoons [52.5 g] all-purpose flour, divided
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla
- 3 cups [750 mL] chopped peeled cooking apples
- 1 [9-inch / 23-cm] unbaked pie shell
- 3 tablespoons [45 g] butter
- 1/4 cup [60 mL] brown sugar

- In a large bowl, beat eggs.
- Add sour cream.
- Stir in sugar, 2 tablespoons [17.5 g] flour, vanilla and salt; mix well.
- Stir in apples.
- Pour into pie shell.
- Bake at 375°F [190°C] for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, combine butter, brown sugar and remaining flour.
- Sprinkle over top of pie.
- Return to oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until filling is set.
- Cool completely on a wire rack.
- Serve or cover and refrigerate.
