- 1 cup [225 g] butter
- 1/2 cup [100 g] sugar
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla
- 1 1/4 cups [175 g] flour
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups [375 mL] quick cooking oats, uncooked
- 1 [12-ounce / 340-g] package semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup [250 mL] chopped pecans

- Cream butter gradually add sugars beating well at medium speed.
- Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
- Combine flour and soda; add to creamed mixture and mix well.
- Stir in oats, chips and pecans.
- Spread mixture into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch [33 x 23 x 5-cm] pan.
- Bake at 375°F [190°C] for 25 minutes.
