Cookies
- 8 ounces [227 g] powdered sugar
- 1 pound [454 g] butter
- 4 eggs
- 2 tablespoons [30 mL] whipping cream
- 2 teaspoons [10 mL] baking soda
- 5 cups [700 g] flour
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla
Frosting
- 8 ounces [227 g] powdered sugar
- 1/4 pound [113 g] soft butter
- 1 cup [250 mL] whipping cream
- Few drops of food coloring [optional]

Cookies
- Mix all ingredients; chill overnight.
- On a floured board, roll out a small amount of dough; cut out.
- Bake at 350°F [180°C] for 7 to 8 minutes.
Frosting
- Blend together powdered sugar and butter.
- Add cream and, if desired, food coloring.
