Cherry Cake Cobbler

  • 1 stick melted butter or margarine
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • Whipped cream or ice cream
Cake mixture
  • 1 cup [140 g] flour
  • 1 cup [200 g] sugar
  • 1 cup [250 mL] milk
  • 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vanilla
  • 3 teaspoons [15 mL] baking powder
  • Put melted butter or margarine in a 9 x 9-inch [23 x 23-cm] pan.
  • Cover with the above cake mixture.
  • Pour pie filling over the top.
  • Bake 45 to 50 minutes in a 375°F [190°C] oven.
  • Serve warm or cold with whipped cream or ice cream.
