- 6 ounces [170 g] pasta [spaghetti]
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup [60 g] Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons [30 g] butter
- 1/3 cup [80 mL] chopped onion
- 1 cup [250 mL] sour cream
- 1 pound [454 g] hamburger or Italian sausage
- 1 [6-ounce / 170-mL] can tomato paste
+ 1 cup [250 mL] water or any spaghetti sauce
- Mozzarella cheese

- Break spaghetti in half.
- Cook until done; drain.
- While still warm, combine spaghetti with eggs and Parmesan cheese.
- Pour into a well greased 10-inch [25-cm] pie plate, pat mixture up and around sides with a spoon.
- Melt butter, add onion and saute until limp.
- Stir in sour cream and spoon over spaghetti.
- Brown meat; add tomato paste mixed with water or spaghetti sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Spoon meat on top of sour cream mixture.
- Bake at 350°F [180°C] for 25 minutes.
- Arrange Mozzarella cheese on top; return to oven until cheese melts.
