- 1/2 cup [115 g] butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] peanut butter
- 1/2 cup [100 g] sugar
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] brown sugar
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1 1/4 cups [175 g] flour
- 3/4 teaspoon [3.75 mL] baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] salt
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] vanilla

- Cream together butter or margarine, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar.
- Add beaten egg.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; add to creamy mixture, beating well.
- Chill dough; form into walnut size balls.
- Place balls on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Flatten bals with a fork.
- Bake at 375°F [190°C] for about 10 minutes.
