Broccoli Cheese Soup

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/4 pound [113 g] margarine
  • 6 cups [1.5 L] water
  • 6 chicken broth cubes
  • 2 packages frozen chopped broccoli
  • 4 cups [1 L] thin egg noodles
  • 1 pound [454 g] velveeta cheese
  • 6 cups [1.5 L] milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] garlic powder
  • Brown onion in margarine.
  • Add water and chicken broth cubes.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Add frozen broccoli; cook until broccoli is done.
  • Add egg noodles; cook until tender.
  • Add velveeta cheese; stir until cheese is melted.
  • Add milk and garlic powder; heat thoroughly.
  • Serve.
