- 1 pound [454 g] ground beef
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] chopped onion
- 1/3 cup [80 mL] chopped green pepper
- 1/4 cup [ 60 mL] chopped celery
- 1 teaspoon [5 g] sugar
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] vinegar
- 3/4 cup [190 mL] ketchup
- 1 1/4 teaspoons [6 mL] Worcestershire suace
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] salt
- 1 cup [250 mL] tomato sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon [0.5 mL] pepper

- Brown ground beef; drain.
- Add onion, green pepper and celery.
- Saute until tender.
- Add all remaining ingredients.
- Simmer for 30 minutes.
