- 1 best quality 2 layer chocolate cake mix
- 1/2 cup [125 mL] cocoa
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/3 cups [330 mL] water
- 1 cup [250 mL] mayonnaise

- Stir cake mix and cocoa together.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Beat at medium speed until well blended.
- Pour into a greased and floured 13-inch [33-cm] cake pan or 2 [8-inch / 20-cm] round cake pans.
- Bake at 350°F [180°C] for 30 to 40 minutes or until center tests done.
- Cool before frosting, to taste.
