Flambeed Coffee
Comments: Serve in punch cups or tumblers.

IngredientsPreparation
  • Orange peel, all in 1 strip
  • Sugar cubes
  • Lemon peel, in small strips
  • 6 cloves
  • 3 large sugar cubes
  • 1 [2-inch / 5 cm] stick cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup [125 ml] cognac
  • 1/4 cup [60 ml] curacao or other orange flavored liquor
  • 2 cups [500 ml] strong black coffee
  • 1 table coffee-heater or flambeed coffee cup
  • Slowly heat coffee-heater.
  • Scrup orange peel with sugar cubes before cutting it into small trips.
  • Arrange orange peel, lemon peel, cloves, sugar and cinnamon stick in coffee-heater pot.
  • Lightly press mixture with the back of a spoon.
  • Add cognac and curacao or other orange liquor; mix well
  • When mixture is hot, flambee for a few seconds, stirring.
  • Slowly add black coffee, until fire is extinguished.
  • Serve immediately.
