- 1 pound [454 g] fish fillets
- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] salt
- Dash of pepper
- 2 tablespoons [30 g] butter or margarine, melted
- 1 tablespoon [15 mL] lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] grated onion
- Paprika [optional]

- Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].
- If fish fillets are large, cut into 5 or 6 serving pieces.
- Sprinkle both sides of fish fillets with salt and pepper.
- Mix together melted butter or margarine, lemon juice and grated onion.
- Dip fish fillets into mixture; arrange into an ungreased square baking pan.
- Pour remaining margarine mixture over fish.
- Cook uncovered in oven until fish flakes easily with fork, 25 to 30 minutes.
- Serve, sprinkle with paprika if desired
