x- 1/2 cup [115 g] butter or margarine

- 1 cup [200 g] sugar

- 1 cup [140 g] all-purpose flour

- 2 teaspoons [10 mL] baking powder

- 1 cup [250 mL] milk

- 2 cups [500 mL] freshly cooked peeled or canned apple pieces, drained

- 1 teaspoon [5 mL] cinnamon

- 1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] nutmeg

x- Preheat oven to 350°F [180°C].

- Into a deep frypan or a deep cake pan, melt butter or margarine.

- Beat together sugar, flour, baking powder and milk.
x
- Pour dough all over melted butter or margarine.
x
- Into a clean bowl, mix together drained apple pieces, cinnamon and nutmeg.
x
- Evenly arrange apple pieces on top of dough.
x
- Bake into preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until dough completely covers apple pieces and is golden.
